Making ceramics is my favorite hobby. During my studies at Santa Monica Community College in Los Angeles, I enrolled in all the ceramic classes the school offered. It quickly became a therapeutic experience which also allowed me to explore my creativity. I enjoy creating functional pieces that are simple yet unique.
Earning a degree in geology from CSUN instilled in me a deeper appreciation for the craft. Ceramic pieces are like thumbprints; no two pieces are the same because each clay, each glaze and each kiln will make something different. And for the most part, they’re all magical. My work is inspired by the natural world. From the mountains to the beach, the peaceful backdrop of nature is where you are most likely to find me.
