About ten years ago, I visited my grandson in Seattle, Washington. He spent about an hour helping me turn a toothpick holder. I immediately obtained a wood lathe when I returned home and puttered around attempting to turn some vases out of a sweet gum tree we removed from our front yard. I was immediately hooked! Multiple lathes and uncountable board feet of lumber later I have pretty well settled on segmented turning, cutting boards and knife handles. I occasionally get carried away and make a vase or other assorted wood things just for me! I claim to make the best sawdust in Bakersfield!!!
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when you are finished!!!
