Gary Guinn
Born: 1940
Found: under the Santa Monica Pier wrapped in sea weed and squawking sea gulls.
1958: Maricopa High School. Coyotes, rattlesnakes and oil derricks.
Military. US Air Force. Forced labor. Strategic Air Command. Three slops and a flop.
Education: Drop out at Santa Monica College. Worked in Pacific Ocean Park doing characters of lonely people wandering through the crowds.
Employment: 1964. Graphic artist working for newspapers, mags and ad agencies.
1968: moved to NYC. Art director at numerous ad agencies . TV, print, package of and promotions.
1978: Married. Lived in SoHo. Began paintingi. Surrounded by art galleries and new exploding art world.
1995: Divorced. Daughter enters Boston University. Moved back to California. Retired and continues creative life in painting and constructions
2055: Death by desert scorpions under an abandoned oil Derrick.
