Edward Barbini
My work is narrative in nature, originating from my life’s occupation as a filmmaker and storyteller. I fear the blank canvas as I fear the blank page, always looking for some sign of what to paint and where to start. When I find it, the process becomes a journey to find the perfect blend of light and lines. Whether it’s a landscape, a figurative or an abstract there is always a desire to be as expressive as possible. My figurative paintings represent a moment in time. My landscapes, a moment in nature and my abstracts, a moment in childhood.
I have spent 25 years as a producer/director in film and television. My journey now is to discover the neglected painter within.
