David Banta is a versatile and innovative artist on California’s picturesque Central Coast.
David’s work is a fusion of traditional techniques and contemporary inspiration, inspired by artists like Ray Ceasar, Ron Mueck, and James Jean.
“My self-taught 25-year artistic journey is fueled by my passion for drawing, music and freedom to be myself- I had no doubt that I would create for a living and I grew into that space.
I honed my craft by landing jobs in print shops, art departments, design houses and start-ups.”
My style is shaped by my love for was museums, Pop Art and Stylish Dreams. These influences blend seamlessly with my dreamlike vision, creating art that resonates on both nostalgic and surreal levels. I like to refer to my style as “Dark-But-Shiny”.
