Christine Wenderoth
Originally from the east coast, I can now say that I will be staying around these parts for the next foreseeable future. I’ve enjoyed making art since being a child and it has kept me sane in this very crazy world in which we live. I initially went to art school, became a high school art teacher and taught for many years, and now currently practice mental health counseling using art with my clients. My current primary media is encaustic with mixed media; however, other media uses include watercolor, acrylics, oils, and pastel. My encaustic images are usually based on organic forms or imaginary themes. Light, value, and color are what excites me the most. Of course the California landscape has given me an endless array of new imagery to build upon. My husband Nick has recently built a new studio space for us in which I hope to be spending more time doing what I love to do the most, creating!
