Alan Holland
I was born in 1951 in San Pedro, California. My early years were influenced by my grandfather who was a mechanic and cra@sman. Working with my hands follows his tradiCon. A@er a career as a custom cabinetmaker, I gravitated to the lathe. I find the fluidity and speed the lathe allows helps me explore my creaCvity and the beauCful nature of the wood I work with. Each piece of wood has its own unique features, and I enjoy finding and exposing them. This focus is my enjoyment.
