Ellen is recognized for her tranquil and peaceful landscape paintings. Her paintings reflect the beauty that is found in nature. Growing up in New England in an artistic family, Ellen was always inspired by the arts. It was only after her career in Finance, a move to Northern California and her kids began elementary school that she got the opportunity to pursue her desire to create. She is passionate about evoking mood or emotion in her paintings. True enjoyment comes from capturing the light as it spreads across a scene. Some of her favorite subjects are marshes, areas along the Pacific Coast, vineyards, and incredible skies at sunset and before or after storms.
